PRR 9801, EF-15A, c. 1957
Title:  PRR 9801, EF-15A, c. 1957
Description:  Here is the fourth of eight original photos that were taken by an unidentified photographer at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, perhaps during 1957. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #9801 and two more "EF" Class units whose numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9801 is an EF-15A built in March of 1951. They are pulling a mixed-cargo freight train, and are about to round the Curve on their way up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West.
