Between 1945 and 1950, GN's St. Cloud Shops constructed a total of 15 baggage-express-messengers in 4 groups, the 2nd of which was ordered in March 1946, delivered between December 1947 and January 1948, and consisted of cars #266-#269. #269 was intended to be renumbered to BN #788, but this was not applied, to BN MofW #976063, later sold to the Spirit of Oregon Dinner Train (which operated over the POTB) as kitchen-power car HILLSBORO, then acquired by Mount Hood as MH #RS03, later renumbered #902.
