CWM #46 THE BARABOO
Title:  CWM #46 THE BARABOO
Description:  Built by Pullman in December 1925 in Lot #4923 to Plan #3521A as the 10 section (10S) sleeper-lounge observation MONTE BALDO, 1 of 15 such cars built in that Lot; cars were outshopped in November and December of that year. The MONTE BALDO was retained by Pullman after the 12/31/1948 divestiture until sold to the Circus World Museum in February 1965. THE BARABOO is 1 of 5 cars from this Lot which are known to be extant: CAPITOL ROAD (ex-MONTE VISO) was sold to C&NW, rebuilt to business car #400 (1st), later #401 (2nd) WYOMING, and is currently privately owned as the CAROLYN; MONTE CRISTO was sold to CGW, rebuilt to business car #100, later sold to KCS as #99 TOLMAK, and is now #99 NEW ORLEANS; MONTE LEONE was sold to SP, rebuilt to business car #110 LOS ANGELES, sold to Ferrocarril del Pacifico, and is currently privately owned; MONTE ROSA was sold to CofG, modified to an instruction car and renamed PROGRESS, later sold to Church Street Station in Orlando, and is now at the Florida RR Museum in Parrish. Scanned with an Epson V550 from a Kodachrome original 35mm slide. Exact date is approximate.
