Description:  With the recent scrapping of the DUPX RailWhales, and the fact that I never bothered to take a decent photo, i atleast found this old shot back in the day when these cars were commonplace on Q614, indeed 4 are visible in this shot. Description:  This RailWhales was on an eastbound CSX train detouring over the Norfolk Southern, on the Lake Pontchartrain trestle. It was one of 70 cars in the DUPX seriew 29700-29769 built by ACF in 1968. Tcese 43,800-gallon cars was the largest single group of 8-axle tanks cars, and most were scrapped in 2009-2010, just after their.40th birthdays.
