6 Next Gen trainsets and the Airo
We were out for a ride after lunch recently, and found ourselves in Winslow, location of the tunnel on the A&M. In the course of doing some upgrade work years back, the Frisco, who owned the line originally, removed the date stone from the south portal. It is now near the platform used for excursions up from Van Buren, which change ends here.
Though I probably should have. and now that I think of it, I wonder that I have not seen more of these. This is a spin off of a spin off. The Rapid City Pierre & Eastern was spun off by CP after they acquired the Dakota Minnesota & Eastern, itself a spin off from CNW in the late 1980's. The RCPE is now a Genesee & Wyoming road. This car is southbound on the KCS
This unremarked covered hopper was in a southbound grain move near Westville OK on the KCS, reporting marks for southern Illinois short line Crab Orchard & Egyptian.
