BM #409 - Boston & Maine |
| Description: |
Built by the Manchester Locomotive Works (Alco) in 1911, this class G-11a switcher had small 52" drivers but could generate a very respectable boiler pressure of 200 psi for its 19"x26" cylinders. Although the photo had no date, location or photographer listed, it appears like it might be in the Boston passenger yard. Date is approximate. |
