| Description: |
Picked up a friend and his wife from the airport, and brought them back to our home to pick up their car. As we are unloading & loading luggage and stuff from one car to another, we hear the train horn. I have been wanting to catch these units in action myself.........so a breif race was on.....me to get into the house and get the camera, and for him to try and figure out where he was going to catch it (he is not familiar with the area). So here is my version of the duo, once again under cold and gray skies (which seems to be a recurring theme in most of my recent photos)! |

Looking like just another switcher is this SW1504, a cross between an SW1500 and MP15DC. Sixty of these switchers were produced by EMD in 1973 and all for NdeM. After the breakup of Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México, these unusual diesels came to the US and a few ended up on the Helm roster in lease service. |
