Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5907, a BS-6 switcher built by the Baldwin-Locomotive Works in March of 1942, rated at 660 horsepower, and retired in June of 1964 after 22 years of faithful service. Description:  Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in June of 1962. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9011, a BS-6A switcher built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in April of 1949, rated at 660 horsepower, and retired in September of 1965. Partially visible at the left is PRR engine #5908, a BS-6 switcher built by Baldwin in August of 1942, rated at 660 horsepower, and retired in June of 1964. ("Tchowee"; #14 of 36)

It's one of the PRR's very first diesel-electric locomotives! This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-14).
