A&F 2391
Title:  A&F 2391
Description:  Alabama & Florida railroad GP9 sits at Enterprise, AL. The A&F was a sister railroad to the Wiregrass Central. Notice the TO board behind roof tanks, the antenna (for getting blocks on CSX) and the corner of the SCL office just in front of the locomotive. You can see the rear end of 3832 on the Left.

WGCR 3023
Title:  WGCR 3023
Description:  In 1990, a GP40 was big power for a tiny shortline in rural Alabama. Here we see 3023 after a fresh coat of paint. Unfortunately the life of this locomotive was considerably short on the G&O. After a brief stint on the Wiregrass Central and a some mechanical and electric issues, she went to Florida to receive some rework. She made one final apperance for the startup of the Altantic & Gulf shortline in Georgia before being sold off. From what I understand this locomotive lives on and serves another shortline in Ohio.

AFLR ex C&O Geep hauls loaded pulpwood destined for Brewton, AL on CSX at Samson, AL. The train rarely went south of the Samson woodyard except on rare occasion to deliver grain cars to a Co-Op in Marianna at the end of the line.

It is the end of the line for the last two original AGLF units as they sit on the end of the old CofGA transfer with the L&N at Andalusia. By this time Pioneer had taken over the AGLF from Claussen and his G&O Railway after a stint in local hands and GP1

After a stint in local hands, the AFLR was purchased by Pioneer Railway group under the same name. The remaining operable original three red Geeps were joined by three GP16 units still in FLS and CSX colors. All six units pose beside the Andalusia depot

The daily road train between Opp and Georgiana works slowing through Red Level. Track conditions still allowed 20mph in places during this early shot.
