My hopes in seeing the Bloomer were beginning to slowly fade away after I had spent so much time on the IC, but things were regenerated again when I got almost into Collum and heard both an engineer and a conductor on the Bloomer come in very clearly on their frequency. Sure enough, they were just finishing loading up their first cut of cars at Cullom! For the first time, I was going to get to photograph the Bloomer! I picked up a couple quick shots while they were loading before setting myself up for the southbound run. |

Shot from the other side of the elevator. It was about 100 times cooler to see a pair of corporate units on this train. The crews tend to favor the GP38-2 leasers from LTE over the corporate GP10 "torpedo cabs", so getting a pair of these was a treat! |
