In the lead is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #949, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during May of 1918 and retired in November of 1951 after 33 years of faithful service. This photo comes from a slide set entitled "Horseshoe Curve, Pennsylvania Railroad" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (22-50). |
