Description:  WB. Here is an image of a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 16 May 1937. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5698, a K-5 (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during April of 1929 and retired in October of 1952. Partially visible at the right is PRR engine #436, a B-8A (0-6-0T) tank switcher built in Juniata as a Class B during 1912, rebuilt as a B-8A in June of 1924, and retired in October of 1956. Shown in the upper photo is #3768, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during June of 1920, streamlined in 1936, and retired in October of 1953.

Specs - K-5 class, piston valves, Walschaert valve gear and a one piece, cast steel frame, 80" drivers, 250 psi boiler pressure, 27x30" cylinders, eingine weight of 327,560 lb, tractive effort of 54,675 lb.#5698 was dropped from the roster in October, 1952. No location, date or photographer was listed for this photo.
