Shown here is PRR engine #7234, an EFS-17M built by EMD in 1959 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. It is the lead unit in an on-coming/westbound mixed-cargo freight train near Latrobe, Pennsylvania. (My train is heading from left to right.) |
