Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train between SLOPE and WORKS Towers in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 06 June 1965. Shown here (R to L) is PRR engine #2359 and another unit whose number is not visible. Both were built by EMD. #2359 is an EF-25 built in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. They are pulling a westbound mixed-cargo freight train and are about to pass SLOPE Tower. |
