Union Pacific Railroad GP38-2 2186 at Calico Rock, Arkansas on March 2, 1989, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This train is reaching into the siding, possibly for the last time. This siding was out of service shortly after this photo was taken. A small stream passed behind the hardware store, and the siding crossed that stream on a wood trestle. It was a tight fit requiring a switch on the trestle to serve the tracks beyond. |
