Delivered to Chesapeake & Ohio as C&O 7504 SD40 in April 1969, to SBD 8363, to CSX 8363 then retired. Sold to VMV and rebuilt to SD40-2 but kept the CSX/SBD assigned number then was stenciled VMVX (note the fresh X on the hood), sold to Locomotive Leasing Partners as LLPX 6508, currently works as Belt Railway of Chicago as BRC 575. In this photo VMVX is idling in Miller Yard on lease to Southern Pacific. |
