When this unit was first built it was up to specs to work in hot summers on the ATSF. Unfortunately its time in British Colombia has meant it no longer has an air conditioning unit! With temperatures near 100 Fahrenheit in Utah right now, I bet the crew sure wishes this engine still had its ATSF AC unit in it. Note the high mounted bell, another testament to the modifications this engine received when it worked in Canada. |
