Built in April 1953 as IC GP7 8979 (c/n 17738) on EMD Order 6496, it was rebuilt during 1969 at Paducah, Kentucky to GP8 7979 and during January 1985 became IAIS 479. Also seen is GP10 8323 (ex-D&RGW 5941) and two GM&O F3's (811A and 883A, running out their last miles). This location is the east end of the Saint Charles Air Line, which is decending down to the former IC Electric Division. |
