Missouri Pacific Railroad SD50 5031 at Cotter, Arkansas on April 28, 1989, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. There appears to be six SD50's dragging an empty unit coal train up a grade out of Cotter, two more units than usual, suggesting an equipment move perhaps. This started out as a perfectly lit scene, until train time, and then a cloud rolled in, and so this is what you get. |

The crew is changed after approximated 100 hoppers of coal was dumped at the Independence Power Plant near Newark, Arkansas. Presumably after several more crew changes, the train will be loaded in Wyoming and return to Arkansas. |
