Photo Caption: "Baldwin DR-6-2000, 2000-hp, at Pittsburgh, Pa." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5783, a BP-20 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in November of 1948, rated at 2,000 horsepower, and retired in November of 1964 after just 16 years of passenger service. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-24).
