Description:  Starting out in life as an EMD GP38-2 built in August of 1972 as Penn Central #8034, this loco has been a tru boomer. It became CR #8034, then EMDX 834 before landing as LLPX 2287 seen here. After a stint on this roster, it bounded over to GMTX #2287 and renumbered there as GMTX #2297. Paul Wester slide

Description:  This transfer is sitting at North Shelly Street waiting for a Form B to clear up on the way from UP Neff Yard to BNSF Murray Yard is UP Train YKC75 14 with a SD38-2 rebuilt from an ex-MP SD40-2 leading a LLPX GP38-2. Elevation brought to you in part by a conveniently placed pile of ballast. These are probably my favorite units on the UP Roster these days--they look like MP SD40-2's and sound like Geeps.
