Built by Alco-Schenectady in April fo 1927, this loco went on to service the Rock Island Lines for nearly 24 years. Specs - 63" drivers, 215 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine wt of 355,600 lb and tractive effort of 68,227 lb. With an added booster, the te increased by 11,244 lb. The loco was retired and sold for scrap in November of 1952 after nearly 24 years of service.No date, location or photographer was listed for this picture. |
