Built by Alco-Brooks in June of 1926, this was a versatile loco for passenger and freight. Specs - K-64b, 63" drivers, 215 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine wt of 355,000 lb and tractive effort of 68,227. With a booster added the te went up 11,244 lb more. The loco was retired and sold for scrap in August of 1952 after 26 years of service. The photo was taken by R. H. Carlson. |
