Long before a GE Dash-8 loco carried the CN number 2125, this 2-8-0 Consolidation had the honor. Built by Alco-Brooks in 1911, this loco served DWP and then CN for nearly 47 years until it was retired and scrapped in December of 1958. Specs - class M-3-c, serial #50279, 57" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 23x26" cylinders, engine weight of 188,000 lb, tractive effort of 36,919 lb. This is an Arthur B. Johnson photo. |
