Description:  Portraits 5. Here is a steam locomotive portrait via William L. Colburn that was taken in Dunkirk, Ohio, on 6 August 1941. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8144, an N-2SA (2-10-2) "Santa Fe" built by the American Locomotive Company as N-2S number "7561" during March of 1919, rebuilt as N-2SA number "8144" before delivery, and retired in March of 1953 after 34 years' service. It was designed by the United States Railroad Administration during the height of World War I. (#38 of 40)
