Title:  PRR 8801, H-10S, c. 1948
Description:  Portraits 5. Here is a steam locomotive portrait via F.R. Kern. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8801, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Lima Locomotive Works as Vandalia Lines number "163" during October of 1915, renumbered "8801" in 1917, and retired in October of 1949 after 34 years of faithful service. Looks to me like this venerable workhorse is headed to the Recycling Center. The exact date and the location are not recorded. (#13 of 40)
