Description:  Taking a turn on the Somerville, MA, turntable is Boston & Maine 2-10-2 Santa Fe type steam locomotive #3006. The loco was built by Alco-Schenectady in 1920 and served faithfully until its retirement and scrapping sometime between August of 1946 to December of 1949. Specs - serial # 61962, class S-1-a, 61" drivers, 190 psi boiler pressure, 29x32" cylinders, engine weight of 377,800 lb, tractive effort of 71,251 lb. An unknown photographer captured the spin on the tuirntable. No date was set so an approximate was used.
