Title:  CN 2-8-0 #2676 - Canadian National
Description:  Fine example of an Alco-Schenectady 2-8-0 Consolidation originally built as Grand Trunk Rwy #761 but eventually merged onto the CN roster in January of 1925 as #2676. Specs - serial #43550, class N-4-de After 54 years of service, the loco was scrapped in August of 1961. Although no date, location or photographer was listed for the photo, Bruce Gemmel was able to locate the photo is a reference book. It was taken by James Walder on 7/19/1958 at Georgetown, Ontario, Canada, not far from Bruce's home. The loco is on the wye heading north to Allandale on the old Hamilton & Northwestern line. This track was taken up in the 1970s. The coal sheds at left are now the site of the GO Transit yard and platforms. Thanks again, Bruce, for all of your help and glad to post a pic close to your home!
