CN 4-6-0 #1541 started out as Canadian Northern #275 but went through several renumberings - CNoR #1336 in 1912, CNR #1336 in 1919 and finally CN 1541 in April of 1957. Built by Montreal Locomotive Works in 1911 (serial #49889, class H-6-d), it served until retirment and scrapping in October of 1961 after 50 years of service. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo but with Raymond Kennedy's help, this may be near Allendale, NB as a substitute for the regular doodlebug service. Thanks, Raymond! |
