Long string of boxcars trail behind CN 4-6-0 ten wheeler #1530 as it passes by the Listowel depot in the unincorporated area of North Perth, Ontario, Canada. Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1910 as Canadian Northern #260, it was renumbered CNoR #1321 in 1912, CN #1321 in 1919, and again renumbered CN 1530 in October of 1956. Specs - serial #48317, H-6-c class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders, engine weight of 159,800 lb, tractive effort of 28,063 lb. The loco was finally retired and sold for scrap in April of 1960 after 50 years of service. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo. |
