Nice roster shot of a retired Alco C425. Built by Alco in November of 1964 as PRR 2421, it served later as PC 2421, then CR 2421 before being renumbered near retirement to #5060. Retirement came on 3/16/1981. Due to the color degredation of slide from aging, I flipped it into b&w mode. Conrail conductior Ken Taylor captured the moment. |

| Description: |
Sad scrap line of Conrail C425's. Note the left loco has its new number, #5060, which previously was 2421. Next is #2422 but a smaller #5061 is written over the fuzzed 2422. Ken Taylor, a Conrail conductor, took the photo of the renumbering that had started just before these locos were retirement. Due to the color degradation of the slide, I converted it to a b&w photo. |
