Coote Industrial owned DR 8403 used on construction of the FMG line, seen here on a ballast train. DR 8403 is an ALCo rebuild, formerly Robe River CE636R number 9427 serial WA143-2 rebuilt by Comeng WA in 1986. Originally it was ALCo C636 serial 3499-2 built by ALCo 1968 for Pennsylvania RR as 6331, then Penn Central 6331 and Conrail 6781 before coming to Australia in 1986. In 2007 it was rebuilt by Coote with an Alco 251+ bottom and F series tops as DR 8403 Rachel. |
