Beautiful example of one the later 2-8-2 Mikados built by Montreal Locomotive Works. This one was delivered in August of 1940 and served only 19 years before being scrapped in April of 1959. Specs - serial #69284, P2G class, 63" drivers, 23x32" cylinders, 275 psi boiler pressure, engine weight of 339,000 lb, tractive effort of 57,465 lb. The photo was taken by J.R. Quinn. |
