Photo Caption: "Engineer B.L. Morris leans from cab of twin-unit 4500-horsepower Electro-Motive E-8 No. 5767 to comment on Author Al Rung's maroon polka-dot shirt and white Cruiser cap." Partially visible here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5767, an EP-22 built by GM-EMD in April of 1952 and rated at 2,250 horsepower.

Description:  Here is page three of a six-page article by Al Rung entitled "Want To Rent A Train?" It was published originally in the April 1953 issue of "Trains & Travel" magazine, page 35. Partial Caption: "Meet on Horseshoe Curve! The westbound Harrisburg Special meets the 'St. Louisan,' eastbound from St. Louis, at the center of the historic curve." Visible at the right (L to R) are PRR engines #5767 and another E-8 whose number is not recorded. Both are EP-22's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #5767 was built in April of 1952. The road numbers of the EP-20's pulling the "St. Louisan" are not recorded.

Both are EP-22's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #5792 was constructed in May of 1952, while #5767 was built in April of 1952.
