Description:  East Altoona. Here is the first of three original photos by an unidentified photographer that were taken in East Altoona, Pennsylvania, in the Winter of 1954. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #352, an I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapod" built in Juniata as an I-1S during November of 1918, rebuilt as an I-1SA in June of 1942, and retired in January of 1956 after 38 years of faithful service. Parked on the ready track just West of the East Altoona Roundhouse, #352 is poised for action.
