Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7961, a BS-10A switcher built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as number "5561" in February of 1950, rated at 1,000 horsepower, and renumbered "7961" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-16). |
