Description:  Altoona Action. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Passenger Station in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 13 July 1951. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5843 and another E-7A whose number is not recorded. Both were built by GM-EMD. #5843 is an EP-20 built in August of 1947 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. They are passing under the 12th Street Footbridge, and are about to come to a stop both to change crews and discharge/pick-up passengers at the Station. Also visible are an eastbound mixed-cargo freight train a couple of tracks over and portions of the PRR's 12th Street Car Shops.
