Title:  PRR DD1 #30
Description:  Built by the Altonna shops circa 1911, the DD1 units were semi-permanently coupled pairs of third rail direct current electric locomotives. Each half-locomotive contained one large electric motor mounted in the body and driving via a jackshaft and side rods. Those electric motors gave the DD1 a potential top speed of 85 mph. Thanks to Thomas Ayers (see comment below), the locaiton has been identified as PRR's Sunnyside yards in Long Island City, NY/ Thanks Thomas for your help!
