Description:  Here is a postal card entitled "Pittsburgh Promotes Progress." Composed by Mr. Grif Teller. Postmarked: 27 September 1954. Caption On Reverse: "Just 100 years ago, the Pennsylvania Railroad joined Pittsburgh with the Eastern seaboard. A century of expansion and redevelopment is symbolized in the city's Golden Triangle, its gleaming skyline dominated by newly-constructed buildings. For the P.R.R., this 100 years is highlighted by a billion-dollar improvement, modernization, and rehabilitation program, nearing completion, which will provide passengers and shippers with the finest transportation service in P.R.R. history."
