"Long Island Rail Road," Page 46, 1949
Title:  "Long Island Rail Road," Page 46, 1949

Photo Captions: "On a railroad as heavily trafficked as the Long Island, the number of trains to handle a given flow of passengers is a matter of vast concern, hence LIRR's enthusiastic development of the ultra-efficient double-deck coach. Inside these 132-passenger cars, you have your choice of stepping up or down; parent-Pennsylvania's shops builds them."
