Description:  Portraits 2. Here is a diesel locomotive portrait by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Cleveland, Ohio, on 31 May 1965. Prominent here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6501, #6021, and another unit whose number is not recorded. #6501 is a GF-25A built by General Electric in April of 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower, while #6021 is an EF-25A constructed by GM-EMD in April of 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. Partially visible at the far left is PRR engine #9030, a BS-6A switcher built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in May of 1949, rated at 660 horsepower, and retired in January of 1968. (#14 of 30)

Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6501 and five more units whose numbers are not recorded. #6501 is a GF-25A built by General Electric in April of 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. This six-unit set is pulling a mixed-cargo freight train up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West. ("PrrFan18n")

Description:  Rainy. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 12 October 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #6307 and #6501. #6307 is an AF-27 built by the American Locomotive Company in 1965 and rated at 2,700 horsepower. #6501 is a GF-25A built by General Electric in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They are pushing a westbound mixed-cargo freight train and are now climbing the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve.
