The EU11 class had a short non-career on the PKP (Polish railways). An order for 42 units was placed with Adtranz in Wroclaw in 1996, with construction beginning in 1998. Several units were delivered for testing, but a contract dispute between the railway and the builder eventually led to a cancellation of the order. Construction was completed and the units were later sold to railways in Italy as class E405. Here EU11-017 is seen testing at Poznan on 30 May 2001. |
