| Description: |
Delivered to Seaboard Air Line as SAL 650 GP40 in February 1967 becoming Seaboard Coast Line SCL 1565 GP40 in July 1967 then entering Seaboard System (SBD) keeping the same number. Seaboard System would renumber this GP40 to 6720 before the CSX merger but would keep this number afterward. CSX sold this GP40 to Helm who then had it rebuild and repainted emerging as HATX 803 GP40-3 and after spending a few years in the lease pool this EMD would be sold to Webb Asset Management and currently works as WAMX 4047. In this photo HATX 803 is waiting to pass through the UP Centennial Yard service shop after delivering a train. |
