Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 4-4-2 Class P-5 2555 at Kansas City, Missouri on Train #4 on June 18, 1939, photograph by Jackson Thode, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 2555 was built by Baldwin in 1902 as a class P-2-Comp (balanced compound) number 1589 (c/n 20161). It was rebuilt to a simple 4-4-2 in 1917, reclassed as a P-5. It was renumbered in 1924 to 2555 and retired in June 1942. |
