The 9339 is an Alco S1 built 1/48 as Proctor & Gamble 9. When it was donated to the museum by P&G, one of the conditions of the donation was that it not display the P&G name or logo. Since the Whitewater Valley's trackage is a former NYC branch, it made sense to paint the loco this way, even though it was never a NYC unit. |

A straight shot up to Connersville followed after looking at the light displays. The Polar Express was already back and loading another set of passengers into the cars before taking south again for the last run of the evening. I talked with some of the volunteers and got some photos before they took off once again. |

The Polar Express pulls past the Dearborn Tower and I decided to call it a night here as it was beginning to ice and snow at this point. Glad I came down here to get all of this! It was a nice way to learn how to use a flash in full. Still have a lot of progress to work on, but it was very fun nonetheless. |

I began way trek north to find the Polar Express, and saw a distant headlight on State Road 121 north of Nulltown. At this point I had to use a flash for everything, so I set up shop at the bridge over the Williams Creek. To my delight, the NYC S2 was being used. Ive always loved that engine, and Ive never gotten to see it run before. Everyone loves the Lima, and I do too, but I think this one might have it beat out for me. The shot wasnt the greatest, but it did turn out better than I had expected it to. |
