#41, a local that ran from Jackson, TN to Canton, MS is headed south getting ready to cross over the Southern Railway. The last IC train to stop here that handled passengers was this same train and its counterpart, No. 41 and 42 in August of 1941. Those two ran as mixed trains. Local NO. 41 has cut off from their train to set out some woodracks in the pass. Picture was taken from the University Avenue Bridge looking north. Picture was taken sometime in August of 1962. Today, the tracks are gone here and a road has been built on the ROW. |
