Description:  Coal Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Belmar, New Jersey, perhaps in 1955. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3752, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during April of 1920 and retired in February of 1958 after 38 years of faithful service. In this context, it's pulling an 11-car commuter train on the New York & Long Branch Line on a dreary and rainy day.

Description:  Miscellany. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Mr. Mayer Pearlman that was taken in Souh Amboy, New Jersey, perhaps in 1956. Photo Caption: "Pair of Pennsylvania K-4's at South Amboy, N.J." Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #3752 and #646. Both are K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics" built in Juniata. #3752 was built during April of 1920 and retired in April of 1958, while #646 was built during March of 1918 and retired in November of 1957. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Railroads Around New York" that's produced by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (254-17).
