Description:  One of the drawbacks of Conrail Shared Assets territory is that we get the same units rotated in and out all year long; this weeks weekly CSAO local SA-31 has the same power and car count (16) as last weeks edition, but with the 4423 leading this time. On the other hand, to still see a freight train through Monmouth and Ocean counties in 2015 is a blessing in itself, so we'll take what NS & CSX gives us.

Only 8 cars this week, but a decent car count for the middle of winter, where inbound loads of lumber are destined for the construction industry.

Description:  With more cars and customers to serve in recent years the Thursday afternoon train from Browns Yard to Lakewood often times outlaws the following morning here at this spot south of Paterson Ave. The train will idle here for hours before a re-crew and afternoon return back to the yard.
