This is one of four trains currently in operation like this on the Hoboken Division alone due to a backlog of cab cars OOS for PTC fitting and testing. This small train is eastbound out of the Meadowlands Sports Complex as part of a weekday mid-day outage on the Pascack Valley Line for a series of crossing replacement projects. During this outage the Sport Line is being used as a place to stage the mid-day turns without having to stack up trains on main tracks at Secaucus after making bus connections. |
