Officially known as PRR MP85s, the Jersey Arrows were withdrawn from service and mothballed in the late 1970s. In 1987-89 they were rebuilt into push-pull cars (Comet I-B) and renumbered from 100-134 to 5155-5169 (cab) and 5220-5234 (coach). NJT 5164 was converted into a "push-pull" cab car from electric MU in 1988 by Morrison Knudsen and is now Caltrans 5007. |
